FIRST AID TIPS – IN CASE OF SUSPECTED STROKE/PARALYSIS

Here are important tips to follow in case of a stroke:

If the person is conscious:

* Make him/her sit or lie in a comfortable position.

*Call for an ambulance or rush the person to the hospital.

If the person is unconscious:

* Make the patient lie on his/her left side (recovery position) with head and shoulders supported.

* Lose the tight clothing around the neck and make him/her calm and cool.

* If possible, try to maintain breathing with open mouth.

* Do not give the patient anything to eat or drink.
