FIRST AID TIPS – IN CASE OF CHEST PAIN

By chemistsworld On 20 Sep 2017

Given below are important tips to follow in case of pain in the chest: If the person is conscious

* Make the person sit in a comfortable position.

* Loosen any clothing around the neck, chest and waist.

* Give patient 300 mg aspirin tablet under his/her tongue and allow it to dissolve. Aspirin reduces blood clotting, which can help blood flow through a narrowed artery that has caused a heart attack.

* Take nitroglycerin if your doctor has prescribed it earlier.

* Call for an emergent medical assistance. Don't take the symptoms of a heart attack casually for more than five minutes. If the person is unconscious

* Open the airway by tilting the person's head backwards and check if he/she is breathing.

* If the patient is breathing, make him/her lie on the left side in the recovery position.

* Begin CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) immediately, if the patient is unconscious. If you do not know its technique you can also perform mouth to mouth rescue breathing and chest compressions.

* If an automated external defibrillator (AED) is available, begin CPR while the device is retrieved and set up. Attach the device and follow the same given by it.

* Call for medical assistance immediately and rush the patient to a hospital immediately 20% OFF on Prescribed Medicines
