According to a study, working for more than 8 hours a day can have a bad impact on your life. Working for more than 45-50 hours per week can cause huge problem to your health. Here are some ill-effects that can be caused due to long working hours.

You might get addicted to alcohol: When you are stressed due to continuous work at the office and the pressure, you start consuming alcohol and this, in turn, causes many problems to your body. Also, the more you drink, the more are the chances of life-threatening diseases.

You lose productivity: If you increase the number of working hours without achieving any suitable results, you tend to lose your productivity. According to a recent study, it was observed that individuals who worked continuously for more than 70 hours a week did not get as effective results as their peers who worked only for 55 hours in a week.

You cannot sleep properly and hence have daytime fatigue: If you remain awake for a longer duration of time, you tend to sleep less and so remain tired on the next day at work.

You feel depressed and stressed out: According to a study, if individuals work for than 12 hours a day, can suffer from depression and anxiety disorders due to the disturbance in the mental health.

You suffer from neck and back pain: When you have to sit on the desktop for more than 11 hours a day continuously for working, you suffer from severe back pain and neck pain due to continuous sitting.

The above-mentioned are the side-effects of long working hours. In order to stay healthy and fit, you must not work for more than 8 hours a day, and also you must visit a doctor if you face any kind of back or neck pain due to extended working hours.
