It is a condition where excess gas gets accumulated in the digestive tract. The prime reason for this is when you digest the food, gases like hydrogen, carbon dioxide or methane are emitted and get accumulated in the stomach. If in excess or not released, these gases may cause a lot of discomfort to an individual. It even depends on your daily food choices. High carb foods like cabbage, beans, chickpeas, sugary fruit juices, and lentils cannot be easily digested by the stomach. Carom seeds or Ajwain: Carom seeds contain a special ingredient in them called ''thymol'' that helps in digestion. Consuming half a teaspoon of carom seeds with water once every day can make you feel better whole day.

Asofoetida(Hing): Hing acts as an anti-flatulent that helps in preventing the formation of gut bacteria that may produce excessive gas in the stomach. Consuming half a teaspoon of hing mixed with lukewarm water can work wonders.

Jeera Water: This acts as a natural remedy to curb gas. Jeera contains essential oils that help in better digestion of the food. Take one teaspoon of jeera seeds and boil it in 2-3 cups of water for almost 10-15 minutes. Let it cool, strain and then consume after having heavy meals.

Water: It is good to have at least 8-10 glasses of water every day to avoid constipation or gas. Remember, do not drink too much water, as gas & bloating can be caused due to over-drinking. Also, never get ashamed of bloating and gas in the stomach. When gas passes, it is just the body's natural way of letting you know that everything is fine down there.
